Nathan Shields, PT, ECS

Nathan is co-owner of Rise Diagnostics and a ABPTS Certified electromyographer.  While practicing physical therapy for the past couple of decades Nathan has recognized the vital nature of diagnostic testing and its influence on providing proper plans of care for patients.  Thus he began his training in EMG/NCS and MSKUS studies and now focuses on making them available to support the Alaska healthcare community.  Rise Diagnostics is proudly certified as a Hands-On Diagnostic Center.

EMG/NCS and MSKUS testing has proven to provide referring providers the information they need to provide more accurate and effective care, generating better and faster RESULTS in patient treatment.

Through his professional work as business coach, podcaster (Physical Therapy Owners Club), and clinical ownership Nathan is proud to have been able to help thousands of people – whether patients or healthcare professionals.

As a native Arizonan, Nathan enjoys following his favorite professional and collegiate sports teams and loves to play golf when he has free time and Alaska weather permits.  He stays busy between business endeavors and being with his family, including his wife, Whitny, his six sons and one daughter.
